Marshall Fields' Department Store. The two stars arrived with announcements and speeches, but we were unable to see anything, nor could we hear from the backside of the speakers. As we inched our way to the front of the line, we enjoyed talking with other fans who were in line near us. 

I have fond memories watching Nadia perform on television when I was a teen. But the biggest motivation to go see these two people was for Kimmi. Kimmi has been taking gymnastic lessons since she was five years old. This summer, she made the team to represent the gymnastic club that she belongs, and to participate in competitions in 2000-2001. 

The moment arrived when Kimmi and I reached the table where they were sitting. Bart greeted us and asked Kim if she was a gymnast. When she said, "Yes," he replied, "Well, show me your cartwheel." She did a cartwheel right there in the shopping mall. Both Bart and Nadia signed a photograph, signed the tee-shirt that Kim was wearing, and cheerfully posed for a snapshot. 

Our 90 minute wait in line was well worth it!
