In the center of Bucharest, in a place full of history, there is a beautiful little church known as St. Spiridon Vechi. Just a short walk from the Mogosoaia Bridge, and nearly overwhelmed by the surrounding modern buildings, St. Spiridon Vechi quietly professes the Orthodox tradition of Christian life. On the grounds of this church, under the blessing of P. P. Teoctist Patriarch of B.O.R., the Nadia Comaneci Children’s Clinic, a non-profit social-medical facility, opened its doors on July 8, 2009.

The Nadia Comaneci Clinic provides free medical services and consultation for orphan children and needy people coming from families... "All these years, Nadia Comaneci was next to the project in all stages, contributing to the increasing number of its supporters.” The clinic houses 14 examination rooms, six laboratories and a pharmacy, receiving modern medical equipment and collaborates with medical specialists in fields like cardiology, internal medicine, children, ophthalmology. |
